Kurai pitches again and breaks the world record

Long Summary[]

Kurai’s 164km/h fastball tied the world record. Oikawa cheers but the Owner says it was probably just an error. Tanikawa Shinichi, the Fingers coach, also feels the machine must be broken, but the batter tells him it was the first time he’d ever felt scared of the ball. Kurai throws his second pitch and it’s clocked as 164km/h again. Saikawa doesn’t seem worried by Kurai’s new abilities since this ‘awakening’ has come too late to help Tokuchi.

Kurai strikes the batter out, getting out of a bases loaded jam, and the speed is registered as 165km/h, officially breaking the world record.

Over the phone, OIkawa tells Tokuchi he was moved by the moment, but it came too late. Even if Kurai gets all the batters out in the final inning, Tokuchi’s 1 billion yen debt will only go down to 700 million. Tokuchi laughs and reminds him ‘there’s another man to awaken, isn’t there?’
